Dr. Koulermou has specialized in breast surgery at the Rambam hospital in Haifa, Israel, at the Pavia School of Oncology in Italy and at the Royal Marsden in London. She has described the innovative technique for mastectomy in large and drooping breasts with the Triple Flap technique for which she has been awarded. She has been repeatedly invited to international breast conferences to present this technique.

Dr. Koulermou trained during her residency at the largest melanoma centre in Athens, the General Hospital of Athens and then established the first nevus and melanoma clinic in Cyprus in 1995 at the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia. She holds a PhD thesis from the University of Athens on Dermal Melanoma, and is the author of the book Clinical Differential Diagnosis of Dermal Melanoma.
