Abdominoplasty / Relaxation of the abdomen

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to restore the abdominal walls, i.e. the skin of the abdomen and the abdominal walls where needed.

The most common lesions seen in the abdominal wall are loosening of the skin , and dilation of the abdominal muscles or their thinning. This distension if it progresses can also lead to the formation of spots in the area.

The most common reasons that lead to the creation of laxity are pregnancy and especially twin pregnancy, obesity, weight loss, lack of exercise and various abdominal surgeries.

It is a procedure that is done under general anesthesia and takes about 2.5 hours.
